Former Stouffville Spirit defenceman Andoni Fimis is a Memorial Cup champion.
Fimis’ London Knights captured their third Memorial Cup title with a 4–1 victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers in the 2025 final on Sunday night at Sun Life Financial Coliseum in Rimouski, Québec.
Fimis earned an NCAA Division I commitment to Vermont will playing in Stouffville during the 2023-24 Ontario Junior Hockey League season. He signed with London last fall.
Fimis had 43 points (12 goals/31 assists) in 55 games that year in Stouffville while earning a spot on the OJHL’s 2024 First All-Prospect Team.
The 18-year-old is a resident of Richmond Hill.
With the win, the Knights join the Cornwall Royals, Kamloops Blazers and Windsor Spitfires as the only CHL clubs to claim three Memorial Cup titles since 1972. London’s previous Memorial Cup championships came in 2005 and 2016.
