Spirit’s leading scorer joins Islanders after exceptional 2025-26 campaign
The Stouffville Spirit is pleased to announce that forward Hudson Armstrong has signed with the Charlottetown Islanders of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. The 18-year-old’s move marks the next chapter in his hockey development after an outstanding rookie season in red and black.
The Courtice native signed with the Spirit from the North Shore Whitecaps U18 team a year ago. He was also at training camp with the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL in 2025.
Armstrong’s 2025-26 campaign was nothing short of dominant.
He finished the regular season as the Stouffville Spirit’s leading scorer with an impressive 78 points (39 goals/39 assists) in just 52 games—a pace that ranked among the top five scorers across the entire 24-team Ontario Junior Hockey League.
He added 17 points (6 goals/11 assists) in 11 Spirit playoff games.
OJHL All-Star Honour
Armstrong’s exceptional play was recognized when he was named to the OJHL’s Second All-Star Team.
Beyond the regular season, Armstrong continued to produce when it mattered most. He recorded five game-winning goals, with one coming in the team’s first postseason game, demonstrating his ability to deliver in high-pressure situations.
Armstrong also competed in the 2026 OJHL All-Star game in Milton, earning two points.
